Dear Dennis,
It's certainly taken me a while to write this short letter, but
I hope it's not to late to thank you for the professional work
done on our hardwood floors in April.
We remodeled a den and breakfast area two years ago that
required installation of new flooring to match the existing
40-year-old peg floors. After the first year, the new
floors began to swell and became uneven. When it was
determined after months of monitoring that the change was not
caused by excessive moisture under the house or anything
owner-caused, you readily accepted responsibility.
Apparently some of the lumber sent for the job was not properly
cured.
The only way to correct the problem was to completely sand the
floors, stain, and refinish the entire area! I dreaded
doing that but agreed that things had to be made right not just
for us, but for future owners.
The procedure lasted several days with your son Clint and his
friend doing the work with you. They were pleasant young
men to have around and certainly did everything, as you did, to
be sure I was happy with the results.
The floors are beautiful and I appreciate very much your
willingness to redo what wasn't your fault. I'm sorry that
it was necessary, but thanks for standing behind the job.
Sincerely,
Franne
